-What you'll need-
Hardware:
1x PC with SB16 or compatible sound card running DOS
1x LCD with a Hitachi (HD) controller chip or equivalent
1x 12VDC -> 120VAC power inverter (under $30 at Sam's for a 400-watt)
2x 10K resistors (Brown - Black - Orange - Gold)
2x 10K-100K Potentiometers (or 1x, if control of LCD backlight brightness is not desired or needed)
1x DB-25 male connector
Ample wire (A 25' spool of speaker wire would be more than enough if you don't plan on using it instead of a parallel cable)

-OPTIONAL HARDWARE-
1x additional DB-25 male connector
1x DB-25 female connector
1x female molex connector
1x DB-25 male to female "straight through" extension (10-15')

DOS Drivers for SB16

* a version newer than 1.42 will not work with the TSR
** to list M3U files and load/play them with MPXPLAY (note: It's named 1.exe so that you can type it in with a numpad should you exit MPXPLAY or it crash on you).

Tools:
Pliers (to crimp wires onto DB25 pins)
Soldering iron + rosin core solder
Wire cutters
